Videos on Websites: Video on Demand
Videos on websites, like the one of me you see here, is also called "video on demand". As part of VMdirect's product offering, you have the ability to easily post videos onto your websites.
No matter what business you're in or what product or service that you are promoting, people like to see who they are doing business with. I've known the power of this for the past four years and is why I have this website. The videos are here to show you who I am so again, you know who you are about to do business with.
This works in nearly every other industry out there. Besides that, with the online video revolution really knocking at our doorstep now, people are getting more used to and more comfortable with online video.
The fact is, the time isn't too far away that if you are not using videos anywhere on your website, you're site will be considered too "web 1.0" and you could potentially lose customers and business to someone who is more "web video savvy".
VMdirect gives you the power to create your own videos, upload them to their servers, and then post those videos on your website. In the video blogging section, I explained how important it is to have videos on your website (including blogs) that do not link to any outside videos. All of that stands true for posting videos on your website as well.
It's hard enough now-a-days to drive high quality visitors to our websites. The last thing that we'd want to happen is lose them to an advertisement to another video on your video because you created it in YouTube for example.
As far as how to post videos on your website, it's not that hard at all. I explain the steps in the video auto responder section.
Bottom line: If your website does not have videos on it yet... make sure you have some on there by the end of the week. And if you do have videos on your site but you see ads before an after the video or an ad on the video player, then quickly upload those videos to your VMdirect account so you'll stop losing website visitors!
